Played as The Queens presented by Kowa (Dec 1-3; team match play with four nine-player teams representing the LET, KLPGA, JLPGA and ALPG). In the Day 3 championship final, Japan beat Korea, winning three of the foursomes matches and losing one. In the third place playoff, Australia beat Europe, winning two of the foursomes matches, halving one and losing one. Winning Japan team: Misuzu Narita (playing Capt), Ai Suzuki, Fumika Kawagishi, Ritsuko Ryu, Momoko Ueda, Mamiko Higa, Kotone Hori, Yukari Nishiyama & Lala Anai. [Miyoshi CC, nr Nagoya, Aichi, Japan].

In the Day 3 championship final, Korea beat Japan, winning seven singles matches and halving one. In the third place playoff, Europe beat Australia, winning four singles matches, losing three and halving one. Winning Korea team: Jiyai Shin (playing Capt), Jin-young Ko, Su-yeon Jang, Seon-woo Bae, Seung-hyun Lee, Min-sun Kim, Jeong-min Cho, Hae-rym Kim & Hee-won Jung. [Miyoshi CC, nr Nagoya, Aichi, Japan].

Final result: Japan 41 pts; Korea 38 pts; Europe 12 pts; Australia 7 pts. Winning Japan team: Momoka Ueda (playing Capt), Misuzu Narita, Shiho Oyama, Akane Iijima, Erika Kikuchi, Ayaka Watanabe, Ritsuko Ryu, Miki Sakai & Erina Hara. [Miyoshi CC, nr Nagoya, Aichi, Japan].
Chevron Championship: Carlton Woods near Houston in Texas provides the stage for the first women’s major championship of 2025, where Nelly Korda defends her title. (April 24-27).
Soudal Open: successor to the Belgian Open, the Soudal Open takes place on the quiet, wooded North course of Rinkven Golfclub. Belgian stars Thomas Pieters and Nicolas Colsaerts will be vying for top honours. (May 22-25).
Rory McIlroy: with his 2025 win in The Masters, Rory joined the pantheon of golfing greats who have achieved a career Grand Slam of men’s majors ... Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan, Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods are the only others in this select band.
Bernhard Langer: he may have played in his last Masters Tournament, but the 67-year-old German will be trying to extend his own record, and win a 13th senior major title at the 36th Regions Tradition. (May 15-18).
