Second-placed Bobby Lincoln (RSA) and Sam Torrance (Scot) finished 3 shots behind Ruangkit (Thai), who became the first player since Tommy Horton (in 1997) to win three straight European Snr Tour events. Played as the Aberdeen Brunei Senior Masters presented by The Stapleford Forum (March 5-7). Ruangkit (Thai) beat Frankie Minoza (Phil) at the second hole of a playoff to record his first European Senior Tour win. [Empire Hotel & CC, Jerudong, Brunei].

Played as the inaugural (and only) Chang Thailand Senior Masters presented by ISPS (March 12-14). Second-placed Jamnian Chitprasong (Thai), Frankie Minoza (Phil) and Katsuyoshi Tomori (Jpn) finished a distant 11 shots behind Ruangkit (Thai), who won his second straight European Snr Tour title. In winning this event, Ruangkit broke some of the tour's records, including the lowest 54-hole score to par and 54-hole winning margin. Ruangkit (Thai), in his rookie season, won the Eurpn Snr Tr 2010 Order of Merit and associated John Jacobs Trophy, with earnings of €266,609 on the Tour. Chris Williams (RSA) was second with €227,350; Angel Franco (Par) was third with €217,308.

Sony Open in Hawaii: played at Waialae Country Club near Honolulu, the Sony Open takes over the spotlight from The Sentry as the PGA Tour’s calendar-year opening event (Jan 15-18). The Sentry (not being played in 2026) was formerly known as the Tournament of Champions, with a field typically restricted to golfers who won a PGA Tour event in the previous calendar year.
Dubai Desert Classic: the DP World Tour’s first Rolex Series event of 2026, is contested for the 37th time (Jan 22-25). First won by Englishman Mark James in 1989, it now boasts a four-time winner, Rory McIlroy. Played on the Emirates Golf Club’s Majlis course, this once desert-surrounded course is the long-time flagship for Golf in Dubai.
