McCarron (USA) won the PGA Tour Champions season-long points chase, to capture the Charles Schwab Cup and $1 million annuity cheque. Jerry Kelly (USA) was second with 2,510,865 pts; Retief Goosen (RSA) was third with 2,290,985 pts. The Cup is awarded based on points earned for top 10 finishes during the PGA Tour Champions season.

Goosen (RSA) won the Byron Nelson Award, recording the season's lowest scoring average (69.14) on the PGA Tour Champions. Bernhard Langer (Ger) was second with 69.26; Jerry Kelly (USA) was third with 69.31.

Price (Wales) won the 2019 European Snr (Staysure) Tour Order of Merit and associated John Jacobs Trophy (for the first time the Tour adopted a points-based system rather than prize money). Price had a season-long tally of 2887.9 points. James Kingston (RSA) was second with 2526.3 pts; David Shacklady (Eng) was third with 2196.4 pts.

Retief Goosen (RSA) won the PGA Tour Champions 2019 Rookie of the Year Award as the leading first-season player, based on the votes of his peers. Goosen finished 3rd on the Tour's money list, with earnings of $1,859,085.
Sony Open in Hawaii: played at Waialae Country Club near Honolulu, the Sony Open takes over the spotlight from The Sentry as the PGA Tour’s calendar-year opening event (Jan 15-18). The Sentry (not being played in 2026) was formerly known as the Tournament of Champions, with a field typically restricted to golfers who won a PGA Tour event in the previous calendar year.
Dubai Desert Classic: the DP World Tour’s first Rolex Series event of 2026, is contested for the 37th time (Jan 22-25). First won by Englishman Mark James in 1989, it now boasts a four-time winner, Rory McIlroy. Played on the Emirates Golf Club’s Majlis course, this once desert-surrounded course is the long-time flagship for Golf in Dubai.
