Take the E18 out of Stockholm heading north-east (direction Norrtalje). Leave E18 at exit Akersberga / Gillinge. Follow route 276 direction Akerberga. After 6.6 km at roundabout turn right direction Vaxholm / Osteraker. After 50 metres turn right into Osteraker Golf Club.
Österåkers Golfklubb (Västerled/West course): The L-shaped layout of Österåker's Västerled (West) course, as distinct from the shorter Österled (East) course, provides a challenging golf outing which is played in two contrasting environments. One side of the L runs alongside a fairly busy road, where the layout projects an open, links-style quality. From the downhill par-3 4th to the even better island green downhill par-3 7th, you play along the other side of the L, in a charmingly picturesque woodland valley. The valley, with forest on either side and a wonderfully natural water hazard running through the valley floor, is home to the middle section of both the front and back nines. Arguably your toughest challenge comes at the par-5 1st, with water and deep rough awaiting any wayward drives, as you journey towards the first of several well-protected and elevated greens. On-course upkeep here is generally first-class. Combined with the slightly shorter and more straightforward Österled course, as well as very good lunch facilities, Österåker has all you need to enjoy excellent golfing day out.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends (after 2pm).
Must book in advance (visitors can book 2 days ahead of day of play). Maximum handicap: men 24; women 30.

Traigh Golf Course (pronounced "try", and meaning "beach" in Gaelic): You'll find this nine-hole seaside gem on the scenic coast road (as opposed to the more inland and quicker A830) between Arisaig and Morar. Although not on the well-beaten path of Scotland's "trophy" courses, if you are passing through this area, it's a must play.
Cullen Links Golf Club: "immensely scenic", "quirky as golf can get", "short!", "hugely enjoyable" ... Cullen Links attracts as wide a variety of comments as it lays down golfing challenges. Shoehorned into this 4,600 yard treasure trove are ten par-3s, seven par-4s and a good-length par-5. Here you'll find all the seaside scenery a golfer could ask for, and a lot more besides.
