Roll of Honour

Ryder Cup player (2021; first Austrian to play in a Ryder Cup). Multiple wins on the European and Asian Tours.

Did you know?

Wiesberger turned professional in 2006 after a successful amateur career, during which he claimed many of Austria's top amateur titles. He progressed onto the European Tour via Q-school in 2009, but returned to the Challenge Tour the following season, where he worked at his game and acquired the winning habit with two victories.

A return to Europe's top-flight tour in 2011 was followed in 2012 by a win in a co-sanctioned event in Asia (Ballantine's Championship). Three months later Wiesberger was again celebrating, this time a home win in the Lyoness Open (effectively the Austrian Open). In 2013 he edged Ernie Els by one shot to claim the Indonesian Masters, another European Tour co-sanctioned event in Asia.
