Did you know?

After 11 unsuccessful attempts at joining the European Tour through qualifying school, Remésy nearly quit tournament golf. A few visits to a sports psychologist reversed his thinking, and at the 12th attempt he finally qualified for the Tour.

In 2004 Remésy became the first Frenchman in 35 years to win the prestigious French Open Championship. He successfully defended the title in 2005. As Remesy said at the time, "apart from a major championship, there is no bigger tournament for a Frenchman to win than this one."
