Roll of Honour

Golf course design

Peter Allis collaborated with Dave Thomas on several golf course designs, including: The Brabazon course, The Belfry (1977); Lansdowne course, Blairgowrie GC (1975); Cannes-Mougins GC (1978). Subsequently he formed a successful partnership with Clive Clark, and co-designed several more courses, including: Alcaidesa, Spain (1991); Melbourne course, Brocket Hall GC (1992); Anglais course, La Tournette GC, Belgium (1988); Manor House at Castle Combe (1992); Milford (1993); Pyrford (1993); Marquess course, Woburn (2000).

Did you know?

Alliss was born in Berlin, where his father Percy was a golf professional at the time. After a successful professional career, Peter Alliss applied his thorough understanding of the game to golf course design, writing and television commentary. His witty, knowledgable and charismatic style ensured his recognition as the "voice of British golf", especially among his legions of devoted followers.
