Roll of Honour

Ryder Cup player (2016). Multiple wins on the European Tour.

Did you know?

Having played golf from the age of five, Pieters honed his skills and enjoyed considerable success as an amateur golfer at the University of Illinois. He decided to forgo his senior year at Illinois, and instead turned professional aged 21.

Gaining his 2014 European Tour playing rights at Q-School, Pieters recorded his first two wins on the tour in 2015. His win in the Made in Denmark tournament in August 2016 certainly made a big impression on Ryder Cup captain Darren Clarke, who included Pieters as a wild card selection for the upcoming contest. Pieters handsomely repaid his selection as the highest points scorer for Europe (4 points from his 5 matches), although the team as a whole suffered a 17-11 loss to the resurgent Americans.
