The title TPC (Tournament Players Championship) of Europe was used for two separate series of European Tour events. From 1977-84 the TPC was UK-based, and known as: Tournament Players Ch'ship (1977/78); SOS Talisman TPC (1979); Haig Whisky TPC (1980-82) and St Mellion Timeshare TPC (1983/84). From 1992-2007 the second (unrelated) TPC series was held in Germany and known as the: Honda Open (1992-94); Deutsche Bank Open - TPC of Europe (1995-97); Deutsche Bank - SAP Open TPC of Europe (1998-2004) and finally the Deutsche Bank Players' Championship of Europe (2005-07). In between these two series, the TPC title was also appended to the 1986 Lawrence Batley International TPC and the 1989/1990 Portuguese Open TPCs.
