The Curtis Cup (43rd) (Aug 30-Sept 1). USA vs Gt Britain & Ireland. Eight top women amateurs per team competing in 2x three foursomes, 2x three four-balls and eight singles. Result: GB&I 10.5, USA 9.5. Non-playing captains: Catriona Matthew (Scot/GB&I); Meghan Stasi (USA). [Old course, Sunningdale GC, Sunningdale, Berks].

LIV Golf
Played as the LIV Golf Team Championship Dallas (Sept 20-22; LIV Golf season-ending 4-player team event). [Maridoe GC, Carrollton, Dallas, TX].
Winners: Ripper Team (277, -11; Cameron Smith, Lucas Herbert, Matt Jones, Marc Leishman), who won the team prize of $14 million.
Runners-up: 4Aces team (280, -8; Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed, Pat Perez, Harold Varner III) and Iron Heads team (280, -8; Kevin Na, Danny Lee, Scott Vincent, Jinichiro Kozuma); both teams received $7 million.
Note: the last of fourteen 2024 LIV Golf League events run by Greg Norman's Saudi Arabian-bankrolled LIV Golf company.

The Presidents Cup (15th) (Sept 26-29). USA vs International Team (non-US, non-Eurpn); 12 top professional golfers per team competing over four days in a total of nine fourball matches, nine foursomes, and 12 singles. [Blue course, Royal Montreal GC, Ile Bizard, Montreal].
Non-playing captains: Mike Weir (Canada/Intl); Jim Furyk (USA).
Overall result: Intl team 11.5 vs USA 18.5, which was the USA's tenth straight victory in this event.

Overall result: USA 15.5, Europe 12.5.

Note: 2024 Solheim Cup was played just one year after the previous edition, to move this biennial event to even years.

PGA Tour Champions
The World Champions Cup (scheduled for Dec 5-8; but cancelled due to effects of earlier hurricane damage in Florida). [The Concession GC, Bradenton, FL].
Format: USA vs Europe vs Internationals. Each team comprises six top PGA Tour Champions players (aged 50 and above), competing over three days in a total of 12 team-based matches.
Chevron Championship: Carlton Woods near Houston in Texas provides the stage for the first women’s major championship of 2025, where Nelly Korda defends her title. (April 24-27).
Soudal Open: successor to the Belgian Open, the Soudal Open takes place on the quiet, wooded North course of Rinkven Golfclub. Belgian stars Thomas Pieters and Nicolas Colsaerts will be vying for top honours. (May 22-25).
Rory McIlroy: with his 2025 win in The Masters, Rory joined the pantheon of golfing greats who have achieved a career Grand Slam of men’s majors ... Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan, Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods are the only others in this select band.
Bernhard Langer: he may have played in his last Masters Tournament, but the 67-year-old German will be trying to extend his own record, and win a 13th senior major title at the 36th Regions Tradition. (May 15-18).
Marco Simone Golf & Country Club: With a clubhouse that might befit a Roman Emperor, and a golf course to match, you can be sure of a memorable outing at Rome's most talked about golf facility.
Jim Fazio's original layout was much changed to create a modern Ryder Cup course ... now one of the Eternal City's (and Italy's) most revered.
Here at Prince’s Golf Club you'll find 27 excellent holes of links golf. Just over the fence and sharing similar terrain is Royal St George’s; but Prince’s is far from overshadowed by its venerable neighbour. The three nine-hole loops at Prince's, laid out over gently undulating terrain, are sure to bring a smile of satisfaction to all lovers of links golf.
