Seaside course: the product of Tom Fazio (1999) combining and updating two of Sea Island's four nine-hole layouts (Seaside & Marshside). Seaside-nine originally designed by Walter Travis (1926), and completed by Harry Colt and Charles Alison (1928). Marshside-nine originally designed by Joe Lee (1974).
Plantation course: in 1998 Rees Jones combined and updated the other two Sea Island nine-hole layouts (Plantation & Retreat) to create the resort's current Plantation course.
