Did you know?

Muñoz enjoyed a highly successful amateur career. Among many victories and awards, she was runner-up in the U.S. Women's Amateur in 2008, won the 2009 British Ladies Amateur Championship, and was a key contributor for the Arizona State University "Sun Devils" in winning the 2009 NCAA Team Championship.

After turning professional in September 2009, Muñoz promptly won her home-country Madrid Ladies Masters in early-October, beating former ASU teammate Anna Nordqvist in a playoff.

In 2010 Muñoz joined the LPGA Tour after finishing fifth at Q-School. She made the cut in her first eleven LPGA events and won the tour's 2010 Rookie of the Year award. Her first LPGA Tour victory came in 2012, with further LET wins also coming in ensuing years.
