Did you know?

Inbee Park, also known as In-bee Park, began playing golf at age 10. After moving to the United States, she enjoyed a successful amateur career on the American Junior Golf circuit. She spent a short time at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas before turning pro in 2006.

In 2013 Park became only the second ever woman in the game to win the first three major championships in a golf season (Babe Zaharias also achieved this in 1950). In 2015 she joined an elite club of six other women golfers to have won a "career slam" of four different major championships. Park also won the Evian Masters in 2012, the year before it became a fifth major championship for women.

In Rio de Janeiro in 2016, with women's golf making an Olympic Games comeback after a 116-year absence, Park again showcased her sublime golfing talent. She won the gold medal for South Korea by an impressive 5 shots over silver medallist Lydia Ko (NZ), achieving the win after a month out of the game with a thumb injury.
