Did you know?

Nelly Korda is the daughter of retired professional tennis players Petr Korda and Regina Rajchrtová. Her older sister Jessica also plays on the LPGA Tour, while younger brother Sebastian is a professional tennis player.

Nelly enjoyed an excellent amateur golf career, representing the USA in the 2015 Junior Solheim Cup. She made the cut at the 2013 US Women's Open championship as a 14-year-old.

After turning professional in 2016, wins on the LPGA Tour came first in Taiwan and Australia, before subsequent victories on home soil in the USA and in Europe. Major championship honours came in 2021 with a win at the Women's PGA Championship held at the renowned Atlanta Athletic Club. Just over a month later Nelly became only the third ever woman, and second from the USA, to win an Olympic Games gold medal for golf.

Her second major title came at the 2024 Chevron Championship, when she claimed her fifth straight win in five starts. Since 1978, 5-in-5 on the LPGA Tour had only been accomplished by Nancy Lopez (USA; 1978) and Annika Sorenstam (Swe; 2004/05).
