The Ricoh Women's British Open (41st) (Aug 3-6). Second-placed Jodi Ewart Shadoff (Eng) finished 2 shots behind first-time major championship winner In-kyung "I.K." Kim (S Kor). [Kingsbarns Links, nr St Andrews, Fife].

Played as the ANA Inspiration (46th) (Mar 30-Apr 2). So Yeon Ryu (S Kor) beat Lexi Thompson (USA) with a birdie at the first playoff hole (par-5 18th). [Dinah Shore Tournament course, Mission Hills CC, Rancho Mirage, CA].
Note: Thompson was denied a second major title by the intervention of an armchair TV viewer, who spotted a "rule infringement" from Saturday's play. This led to LPGA rules officials giving Thompson a 4-shot penalty, which was advised to her on the 12th green during Sunday's play! Thompson's "crime" was misplacing her ball by a quarter of an inch (6mm) on a one-foot putt. The misplacement was unintentional, did not put the ball any nearer the hole or on a better lie, and was completely inconsequential to the score. Not for the first time, the spirit of golf was trampled on by the combination of a hyperactive TV viewer and microscopic rule interpretations, which turned the event against its rightful winner.

The Evian Championship (24th) (Sept 15-17). Nordqvist (Swe) beat Brittany Altomore (USA) with a bogey at the first playoff hole (par-4 18th). Reduced to three rounds after the first round became a wash-out and was controversially cancelled, that day. The scores of players who had started their first round were also cancelled. The US Women's Open conducted by the USGA (72nd) (July 13-16). Second-placed Hye-jin Choi (S Kor, amateur, aged 17) finished 2 shots behind Park (S Kor), who won her first LPGA Tour event and first major championship. [Trump Natl GC, Bedminster, New Jersey].

The KPMG Women's PGA Championship (63rd) (Jun 29-Jul 2). Second-placed and defending champion Brooke Henderson (Can) finished 1 shot behind Kang (USA). The 24-year-old American recorded her first LPGA Tour win (and first major!) with five birdies in the last eight holes of the championship. [Olympia Fields CC, nr Chicago, IL].
Sony Open in Hawaii: played at Waialae Country Club near Honolulu, the Sony Open takes over the spotlight from The Sentry as the PGA Tour’s calendar-year opening event (Jan 15-18). The Sentry (not being played in 2026) was formerly known as the Tournament of Champions, with a field typically restricted to golfers who won a PGA Tour event in the previous calendar year.
Dubai Desert Classic: the DP World Tour’s first Rolex Series event of 2026, is contested for the 37th time (Jan 22-25). First won by Englishman Mark James in 1989, it now boasts a four-time winner, Rory McIlroy. Played on the Emirates Golf Club’s Majlis course, this once desert-surrounded course is the long-time flagship for Golf in Dubai.

Here at Prince’s Golf Club you'll find 27 excellent holes of links golf.
