World Golf Hall of Fame (inducted in 2000). Appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire, OBE (1971), and a Knight Bachelor (1998), which carries the title "Sir."

Did you know?

Sir Michael Bonallack Kt OBE enjoyed a long and distinguished career as a leading amateur golfer, and a 16-year tenure as Secretary of the R&A (1983-1999). In 1999/2000 he became Captain of the R&A. He was knighted in the Queen's birthday honours list in June 1998.
