Did you know?

Turning professional in 2005, "Rafa" made his way onto the full European Tour in 2007, recording his first victory in 2009. His second and biggest win (to date) came at the 2012 Dubai Desert Classic. Although further wins have eluded him, several runner-up and top 10 finishes led to his inclusion in the 2016 Ryder Cup team. Although on the losing side, he recorded one of only four Sunday singles wins for the Europeans, and was the team's third highest points contributor with 2.5 points from three matches.
