"Mickey" Walker has led a very active and diverse career in golf. Between 1979 and 1984 she won six European titles, and was a founding member of the modern-day Ladies European Tour. As non-playing captain of Europe's Solheim Cup team from the inaugural tournament in 1990 to 1996, she led the Europeans to their first win in 1992. Walker became coach to the Curtis Cup team for three matches (1994, 1996 and 1998), while holding the post of Head Professional at The Warren Golf Club in Essex (1986-2001). She was appointed consulting editor for the Lady Golfer magazine in 2002, and continues to be part of the Sky TV golf commentary team. She is a member of an exclusive group of professionals in the UK to have been awarded PGA Master Professional status.
