Did you know?

During her time at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, Daniel enjoyed a highly successful amateur career, which culminated in two U.S. Women's Amateur titles and two Curtis Cup appearances. After turning professonal in 1978, she became the LPGA Tour's Rookie of the Year in 1979, and then leading money winner in 1980 and 1981 (and again in 1990).

Her 33 LPGA Tour victories spanned from 1979 to 2003, and eight Solheim Cup appearances from the inuagural match in 1990 through to 2005. She captained the USA Solheim Cup team in 2009.
