Did you know?

Born in Finland, Sandelin grew up in Sweden and subsequently became a Swedish citizen. After joining the ranks of professional golfers in 1987 it took him until the 1994 season on the second-tier Challenge Tour to qualify for his full European Tour card. In 1995 he set about making up for lost time. In this his rookie year he won the Canaries Open, finished 21st on the Order of Merit, and was declared the European Tour's Rookie of the Year. Further Tour wins followed in the 1990s and in 2001.
