Did you know?

After a brief period playing on the Australasian Tour, Roberts joined the PGA Tour in 1981 after his fifth attempt at Q-school. He returned to Q-school five more times, before recording his first win on the Tour in 1994, aged 38. As if making up for lost time, Roberts then recorded seven more PGA Tour wins in the next eight seasons.

Roberts became an even greater force in golf when he turned 50 in 2005 and joined the Champions Tour. He recorded his first Champions Tour win in only his third event, which also happened to be a senior major championship.

In 2006 Roberts became the first player to win the three opening events of the Champions Tour season; in July he claimed the second of his four senior majors with a win in the British Senior Open on the Ailsa course at Turnberry. During his career Roberts has earned the nickname the "Boss of the Moss", based on his excellent putting ability.
