22-year-old Hall (Eng) won the LET season-long points chase, to capture the Tour's 2018 Order of Merit and €20,000 bonus. This was her second straight LET Order of Merit title. Hall accumulated 667.73 points (earning €512,101 in the process). Second was Anne Van Dam (Nld) 518.18 pts (€168,603); third was Caroline Hedwall (Swe) 453.35 pts (€124,013). For the first time since 2004, the LET Order of Merit was based on a points system versus the Tour's money list.
For the second straight year, Hall (Eng) won the LET Players' Player of the Year Award, based on the votes of her peers.

Ariya Jutanugarn (Thai) won the LPGA Tour season-long points chase with 6,750 pts, to capture the Race to the CME Globe title and $1 million bonus. Jutunugarn won the Globe for the second time in three years. Brooke Henderson (Can) was second with 5,200 pts; Nasa Hataoka (Jpn) was third with 5,100 pts.
Note: the prestigious season-ending Globe is awarded based on points earned for "above the cut line" finishes during the LPGA Tour season.

Engström (Swe) won the 2018 Rookie of the Year Award as the Ladies European Tour's leading first-season player. She finished 17th on the Tour's Order of Merit, accumulating 149 points during the season (and earning €36,719 in the process).

Ko (S Kor) won the LPGA Tour 2018 Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year Award as the leading first-season player. Using a season-long points system (based on finishes in Tour events), Park accumulated 1,263 pts (earning $1,159,005 in the process). Georgia Hall (Eng) was second with 759 pts ($837,678); Yu Liu (China) was third with 608 pts ($464,347).
Sony Open in Hawaii: played at Waialae Country Club near Honolulu, the Sony Open takes over the spotlight from The Sentry as the PGA Tour’s calendar-year opening event (Jan 15-18). The Sentry (not being played in 2026) was formerly known as the Tournament of Champions, with a field typically restricted to golfers who won a PGA Tour event in the previous calendar year.
Dubai Desert Classic: the DP World Tour’s first Rolex Series event of 2026, is contested for the 37th time (Jan 22-25). First won by Englishman Mark James in 1989, it now boasts a four-time winner, Rory McIlroy. Played on the Emirates Golf Club’s Majlis course, this once desert-surrounded course is the long-time flagship for Golf in Dubai.
