Roll of Honour

MAJORS (2): US Open (2021); Masters Tournament (2023). Ryder Cup player (2018, '21, '23). Multiple wins on the PGA Tour (11) and European Tour (10). European Tour Rookie of the Year (2017). European Tour Order of Merit (Race to Dubai) winner (2019). PGA Tour leading money winner (2021). LIV Golf Individual Champion (2024). Has held the official ranking of world's No.1 male golfer.

Did you know?

During a stunning amateur career Rahm played collegiate golf for the Arizona State Sun Devils. His haul of 11 college tournament wins ranks second in the university's history behind another famous alumni, Phil Mickelson. He achieved the status of best American College player, receiving the Ben Hogan Award in 2015 and 2016, and was also the No.1 ranked player in the World Amateur Golf Rankings for a record total of 60 weeks. In the 2016 US Open he was the lowest scoring amateur, finishing the tournament in a tie for 23rd place.

Turning pro in 2016, Rahm chalked up his first PGA Tour win in January 2017 at Torrey Pines. That was followed in July by his first European Tour win in the prestigious Irish Open.

Finishing 2017 in style, Rahm was also victorious in the European Tour's final event of the season, the highly coveted DP World Tour Championship. He won this event again in 2019, but on this second occasion it also came with a $3 million first prize, and enough points to secure the season-long European Tour Order of Merit (Race to Dubai) title, and a bonus of $2 million.

In winning the US Open in 2021, Rahm recorded his first major championship victory, and became the first Spaniard to win this event in its 126-year history. His second major championship title came at the 2023 Masters Tournament.

At the end of 2023 Rahm shocked the golfing world, having been enticed onto Greg Norman's "rebel" LIV Golf tour. His LIV signing-on bonus was rumoured to be worth hundreds of millions of dollars. (LIV Golf is a Saudi Arabian-bankrolled breakaway rival to the main international tours. It is based on limited-field 54-hole events, with massive prize funds and guaranteed payouts).
