As you would imagine, South Africa takes the lion's share of top stay and play golf resorts in the continent, scattered across Cape Town, Durban, George, Johannesburg, Nelspruit and East London.

Prominent five-star picks include Fancourt, a combination of old world charm, contemporary luxury, three fabulous championship golf courses and full spa facilities, makes the resort a distinctive and luxurious Stay & Play location on South Africa's world renowned Garden Route. Guests can choose between a room in the Hotel, the beautifully restored Manor House or one of the many stately Garden Suites and Studios.

And Sun City Resort named for the golf icon offers a challenging layout amidst a beautiful natural setting. The Cascades Hotel, the Grotto Restaurant and the pool area underwent an extensive R60-million refurbishment project, transforming the 1980’s themed pool area into a tropical paradise. The Welcombe Hotel Spa & Golf Club: provides an excellent Stay & Play opportunity, just a mile out of town from William Shakespear's birthplace in the centre of Stratford. Royal Ostend Golf Club: represents Belgium’s only real "beside-the-seaside" links golf course (others like Royal Zoute are located a little way inland).
